Gifts for Brewers Fans

The 2011 NLDS was one of the great moments in modern Brewers history — a packed Miller Park, 29 years since the last postseason series win, and Nyjer Morgan in the bottom of the 10th lining a single up the middle and sending the crowd into the Wisconsin night.

2011 NLDS Game 5 hand-lettered scorecard — Nyjer Morgan walk-off, Brewers advance

Brewers — 2011 NLDS · Game 5

After Arizona won twice at home to even the series, the Brewers came back to Miller Park for a decisive Game 5. Tony Plush — Nyjer Morgan's self-given nickname — came up in the bottom of the 10th with the game tied and drove a walk-off single up the middle to score Carlos Gómez. The scorecard shows all ten innings of the game that sent Milwaukee to its first NLCS — the franchise's first postseason series win since 1982.

Twenty-nine years in the making

The last time the Brewers won a postseason series before 2011 was 1982, when they went to the World Series. Nearly three decades of near-misses, division-title losses, and rebuilds later, the 2011 team — led by Ryan Braun, Prince Fielder, and a rotation anchored by Zack Greinke and Yovani Gallardo — finally broke through. The series against Arizona went the distance. And when it came down to it, Nyjer Morgan was the one holding the bat.

Tony Plush delivers

Morgan had coined the Tony Plush persona during the season — a showman's alter ego that fans either loved or found exhausting. On October 7, 2011, it didn't matter. With the game tied in the 10th and Miller Park shaking, he singled home the go-ahead run and the Brewers were headed to the NLCS. The scorecard from that game shows every pitch Morgan saw before delivering — the patience, the timing, the moment.

The 2026 Brewers: 22-0 and the best record in baseball

The 2026 Brewers are 79-49 — the best record in Major League Baseball — and on August 19 they tied the modern-era (post-1900) MLB record for the largest shutout in history, beating the Seattle Mariners 22-0. Jacob Misiorowski became the first pitcher in the majors to reach 200 strikeouts in 2026. Christian Yelich, David Hamilton, Luis Lara, and Jake Bauers each hit home runs in the record game. Whatever happens in October, the 2011 NLDS walk-off is the scorecard that belongs next to it. Read the full story of the 22-0 game →
